If you have access to your email or your phone number is on your account, it should be fairly straight forward. Try these steps.
- Go to facebook.com
- Enter your current email address or phone number
- If you have access to either the phone text messages or the email (I prefer the text message)
- If you don’t have access to either of these, it gets very difficult to recover your account.
- You will receive a text or email with a code to enter, enter the code on this screen.
- Click “Continue”
- Enter a new password (click hide if you would like to hide it from display)
- Click “Continue”
- Choose if you want to stay logged in on other devices, or log everyone out.
- If you think you were hacked, choose “Log out of other devices” (this is the more secure way to go)
- Click “Continue”
- You have now reset your password.
